Thomas grew up in the Berkshire Hills of Western Massachusetts.
At an early age, Thomas found his niche among the "chorus junkies", "band nerds" and "theatre geeks." In high school Thomas focused primarily on performance, being featured in numerous chorus concerts and recitals, as well as being cast in many roles on stage. Some of Thomas's favorite acting credits include "Romeo" in Romeo and Juliet, "Antonio" in The Merchant of Venice, "Etches" in Titanic: The Musical and "Grantaire" in Les Miserables. In college, Thomas began to transition backstage to directing and stage managing. A 2008 graduate of Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (North Adams, MA), Thomas recieved a degree in Arts Management and Theatre. He also created, and was president of for four years the now successful "Yorick Shakespeare Club", one of the most popular clubs on campus. Thomas has spent multiple seasons with Barrington Stage Company (Pittsfield, MA) as the youth-theatre production stage manager. The productions, run on an equity calendar, bridged the educational and professional aspects of theatre, and brought talented, dedicated, and mature youth into a professional theatre setting. Thomas has met, or worked with such amazing talent as Jerry Christakos (Kiss... Spider Woman), Marin Mazzie (Kiss Me Kate), Christopher Innvar (Porgy and Bess) , Debra Jo Rupp ("That 70's Show"), Larry Daggett (Ragtime) and Andy Lindberg ("Stand By Me") to name a few. Thomas has completed 10 National Tours, and is currently wrapping up his 5th Touring Season with the American Shakespeare Center (Staunton, VA) as their touring troupe manager. |
Thomas has been HONORED to have worked with such phenomenal designers and directors such as Desdemona Chiang, Ethan McSweeny, Christine O'Grady, Christopher Patterson, Michael Susko, Crandall Rogers, Matthew Fick, Christina Williams, Jimm Halliday, and more.
